I love FAQs and Q&As. And sure no one may have asked me these questions, but I feel deep down they are questions your subconscious wants the answers to.
1. Have you had any supernatural experiences?
Sort of. Maybe. Probably. When I was a teenager, my bestie and I were hanging out at the beach in the evening. We were with a larger camping group but we were off chit chatting. One of us suggested heading back. The other quickly agreed. As we started heading up the long wooden stairs, one said she’d had a bad feeling—the other saying she’d felt dread and discomfort. We stopped talking and hurried up the stairs then ran across the cliff.
We both had the sense evil was watching us. We listened to our guts and got outta there. 😏
2. Have you ever seen a ghost?
No. They are invisible. 😉
3. Tell me more about this novel you said you wrote. What’s it about?
My in progress blurb: When a gardener in California inherits the family home in a New England seaside town from a long lost relative, she discovers she’s also inherited magic, a ghost, and the family responsibility to save the world from an ancient evil.
Yes, one long giant sentence.
4. Do you plan on making it a series?
Yes. And there are other books that I’m planning that take place in the same world with cross-over characters.
5. So you write urban fantasy. What kind of monsters or creatures do you have?
Across all the planned books I have: witches, fae & company, gods & goddesses, vampires, lamias, spiritwalkers, ghosts, zombies, griffins, and dragons.
6. Will you write any more children’s books?
I have a middle grade fantasy book set in an alternate earth in the works. That one has unicorns and evil butterflies. I also have a Christmas picture book planned.
7. Will you do any more non-fiction books?
I’m so glad you asked that one. As a matter of fact. Yes.
A Writer’s Guide Books
I’m putting out A Writer’s Guide to Crystals & Gemstones next year. I’m hoping to have it ready by February! Just like the color book, I’ve added more details. Plus I’ve added more gemstones: ammolite, azurite, beryl, chalcedony, chicken-blood stone (yes, that’s a real gemstone), jadeite, jet, malachite, and zircon.
🟣Look for a special post later this month or next month.
I’ve also decided to rebrand the color book: The Life and Times of Color to A Writer’s Guide to Color. Not only to make the books part of a series but the original title wasn’t working. In the (distant) future, I’ll do the herbs and plants.
The online versions will still be, well, online.
Happy Holidays! Are you ready for 2023?
LAST MINUTE ADDITION! I just received an email that my newsletter host is shutting down by the end of the year. 😳 I will let you know as soon as I can where (and if) my new host will be. If all works out I'll be able to move you over there. Be on the look out...
