Autumn is rapidly approaching—my favorite season. However, I still like summer but it’s been a world wind. As some of you might remember, I’m living in a fixer-upper. We’ve been taking care of major issues: leaks, old termite damage, mold. 😳
To keep me sane, I’ve been gardening. There was a small patch in front of the house that had “grass.” It was really weeds and crabgrass. It took me about two weeks to dig it up and turn the soil. The seeds I planted at the end of June were 40/60 on sprouting, but I’m happy to say the giant marigolds are just about to bloomed. We have a lot of wildlife here too. There is a red-tailed hawk that perches on the neighbor’s chimney and a woodchuck (as they are known ‘round these parts but also known as a marmot/groundhog) roaming in the ‘hood.
What else…what else?
Ah yes, my children’s ghost story has been professionally edited and proofed! Now comes formatting, illustrations, and a cover. It’s a chapter book, so the illustrations will be black and white. Needless to say, so I’ll shout it—MY GHOST STORY WILL BE PUBLISHED THIS OCTOBER!
I hope to have pre-orders available by mid- to late September. It will be available in paperback, hardcover, and eBook.
This is a story about a ghost that’s afraid of the dark and the things that might be lurking in the shadows. After receiving a message, he has to find the courage to go out and discover what’s been left for him. Can he do it? Will the monsters get him? Find out this October.
