As I edit, I find myself feeling hectic. Did I move that to the right place? Did I accidentally delete something? Does it still make sense? And what word belongs here? That one will never do. This is the last round of big edits—see how I made that definitive. But I love it. It’s like I’m smoothing out the frosting on a cake and making sure to put the decorations in the right place.

Substack

I’m still learning all the ins and outs of this platform. It’s quite different from other newsletter hosts. I found out that I can send a private email exclusive post just to you, which is pretty fantastic. That means exclusives will be sent to you from substack but will not post online. That is one really great feature!

2023

It feels like it took us a long time to get here. This last year seemed longer to me. There was a lot happening, and in November, I tore my meniscus. That’s the cartilage behind the knee. There’s not much you can do but let it heal, and to heal you have to do nothing. That sucker is still healing but the pain is down and I can get around a lot quicker. 😉
